I enjoy a good apple cider but there are lots of ciders out there and I realized that I am not keeping a sufficiently accurate track of which ones I have tried and which ones I would like to try again. This blog is an attempt to keep better track of things.

My go to cider, the one I keep in the house in

I'll add the ciders here as I drink them

Farm Flor Dry Table Cider: Graft Cidery, Newburgh, New York. The can says tart and Earthy. I didn't think it was all that tart. It wasn't bad and I'd drink it again but it probably would not be my first choice.

Cold Crash: Pennings Farn Cidery, Warwick, New York. Didn't get the can or bottle. It went well witht the burger and fries. I'd drink it again but it probably would not be my first choice.

Doc's Original Hard Apple Cider: Warwick Valley Wine Co. Inc., Pine Island, New York. The bottle says unique, the web page says "semi-dry and wonderfully effervescent with a remarkably fresh apple nose. I did find it an enjoyable cider and I'd drink it again.

Open Baladin sidro: Found this in a bar/burger joint called Open Baladin in Rome, Italy. I will defnately go back the next time I am in Rome. It appears that they make their own beer and cider (sidro). The burgers were OK but the sidro was very good.

Fishkill Farms: Wild at Heart: Fishkill farms in upstate New York, about 2 hours from New York City makes a variety of ciders. I found Wild at Heart to be excellent. I highly recommend a trip to their tasting bar. Spend the morning picking fruit and the afternoon tasting ciders.

Wölffer
No. 139 Dry Rosé Cider: Wölffer Estate is on the eastern edge of Long Island NY, not quite to Montauk but close. Its listed as a vineyard. A note on the web page indicates that the apples in the cider are New York Apples and the cider is produced and bottled in Rochester NY. Regarding the cider itself, I could drink it. It wasn't bad but its not something I would go back to.

Fishkill Farms: Homestead: Fishkill farms in upstate New York, about 2 hours from New York City makes a variety of ciders. I found Homestead to be very drinkable. As I said above I highly recommend a trip to their tasting bar. Spend the morning picking fruit and the afternoon tasting ciders.
